Cardinals v Mets.... Our 1st game this season..

Kyle got us tickets to the Cardinal v Mets game on Sunday night. We were hoping it would have a better ending than the previous game in the series which was 20 INNINGS and 7+ hours long...
It was not looking good when we were STILL down 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th. THEN in the bottom of the 5th, Colby Rasmus hit a 3 run home run to tie things back up. It was still tied in the 8th...and looking like we may have to play extra innings and then Ryan Ludwig hit a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 8th to put us up 5-3. Wainright finished his complete game with a 3 up 3 down in the top of the 9th for a CARDINAL WIN!

A couple of guys from work came with us..

Patrick and Erica came to visit us! They flew in on Thursday night and then Friday they explored St Louis on their own while Kyle and I were at work. Friday night we went to Tuckers and then back to our apartment to visit and drink wine.

Saturday morning we got up and went to a cute breakfast place. After breakfast we went to the Anheiser-Busch brewery. We had a blast learning about how the brewery worked...and the boys loved the tap room.

Don't let this photo fool you... I am pretending that I am drinking it...
it still tastes HORRID!

After the brewery, we headed downtown to see the arch.
And of course, it was a perfect photo opportunity.

The boys version of the arch.

Erica and I's version of the arch.

After the arch, we went to Crown Candy Kitchen. Erica had seen it on the Travel Channel and wanted to check it out.
We knew it was fabulous, so of course agreed.

After Crown Candy, we went back to the apartment for a nap. :) Then we headed to the City Museum. Kyle and I had gone before, but we thought it was fun so we were up to going again.

We enjoyed playing on the playground...

We went on top of the roof... this was the view from the top of the Ferris wheel.

Also on the roof, was a HUGE swing. It was really fun...but kinda scary!

After the City Museum, we picked up Guido's pizza and went home. We were pooped!
On Sunday, we slept in and then had cinnamon rolls.
Then we headed to Schlafly Brewery.
It was much different than the Bud brewery. It was a lot smaller and more hands on.

We had so much fun..we didn't want them to leave! We can't wait til we are back in Oklahoma and closer to all our friends and family!

HOMEOWNERS!!

We did it! We bought a house. Here is our gem in the rough! We are moving to Enid!
We are anxious to get started on making it our own. We closed on March 31st and spent the following days scraping wallpaper, tearing out cabinets, texturing, and builing walls. We have a LONG way to go but are so excited for the finished product.
This is it! 3 beds and 2 baths... YAY!

ScIeNCe CenTEr!

Kyle and I decided to go to the St Louis Science Center a few Sundays ago. It was a really neat place. However, Kyle was slightly overwhelmed by the large number of small children running about. I am hoping it doesn't deter him from wanting to have a baby soon... hahah!

The tornado exhibit made us feel right at home.

Kyle was so proud of his picture taking skills.
(The dinosaur was a moving dinosaur. His head moved up and down, as well as side to side.)
I think the people around us thought I was weird.

NO Heat?!

So after we got back from the City Museum and Aquarium with Kim and Steve, I realized our heat was no longer working. Now, the past week had been quite warm (75 degrees and sunny) so the heat was not necessary... However, on this particular Saturday the temp was shifting towards the 40s with chances of snow. Heat sounds necessary. So I call up the office and let them know that the heater won't come on... they send us Bobbie. Bobbie decided to pull everything out of our heater and then tell us he didn't have the right parts...someone would be back on Monday to fix it. HOWEVER, Bobbie did bring us this lovely space heater to get us through the weekend.

Kyle and I decided our best bet was cooking and baking...using the stove as much as possible to help keep the apt warm. So we made chicken noodle soup, homemade biscuits, and monster cookies!!

The soup turned out quite well ... as did the rest.
Luckily for us, Bobbie did return on Monday (with a buddy) and the two of them were able to fix the heater!
